Chapter 26
Yu Su quietly turned to look at the alpha who was pretending to nap beside him.
He rarely had a chance to observe Chi Yanxing so closely, nor did he often feel this indescribable feeling.
The faintly blue starfish on the wall, the moonlight-like white coral on the cabinet, and the light sheer curtains replaced to match the overall decor—all precious and exquisite decorations.
The breeze blew through the balcony cracks, causing the curtains to flutter on the wall like fine white foam waves leading into a deep blue.
All of this had been quietly done by Chi Yanxing for him.
Yu Su set aside the unrest in his heart and decided to seriously sing for the human, so he could sleep well and regain his full memories.
People like him were born to be perfect—not a bit less.
Chi Yanxing noticed he hadn’t spoken for a while and said, “What’s wrong? Not ready yet?”
Yu Su moved his lips, “Ready.”
“Alright, start then. I’m listening.”
Yu Su exhaled softly, then slowed his breathing.
The night was quiet.
The large villa sat halfway up the mountain, surrounded by lush trees. Although sound travels differently in air than in water, the mermaid’s voice still floated faintly throughout the entire house.
Uncle He turned over in the butler’s room, mumbling,
“…With a child, Mr. Yu definitely… won’t…” His sleep talk weakened, but a slight smile curled his lips, as if seeing a warm, harmonious scene in his dream.
The soft humming was like the gentlest cotton, carried by the night wind into the dreams of those who heard it—full of the most beautiful and wonderful fantasies.

Master Bedroom.
Chi Yanxing’s features were calm and relaxed; he was already fast asleep.
Yu Su finished the last note of his song, then reached out from under the covers to lightly stroke the man’s nose.
“Beautiful eyes, beautiful nose, beautiful mouth—such a handsome human. Which lucky little fish got to meet you?”
“Yanxing, let’s go for a walk. Your father specially bought this beach for you. Now that you have natural pheromones, coming here more often will be good for you.”
Chi Bing also chimed in following his wife’s words: “Staying cooped up at home reading all day—you know you’re a precious alpha. People who don’t know might think we’re raising an omega.”
“Oh, don’t say that, son. You know Yanxing’s temper well. There aren’t many kids at school who get close to him. Besides, our Yanxing’s got that natural alpha charisma. Wherever he stands, everyone says my son is outstanding, right, Yanxing?”
Chi Yanxing stood before his parents, with young Uncle He following behind him.
Uncle He still wore a smiling expression. “This is a sand bucket. There’s a shovel inside—you can play with the sand or look for shells. Young master, take it with you when you go out, okay?”
Chi Yanxing looked displeased but was pulled by his mother’s hand, who hung the bucket on his arm.
“Go have fun,” his mother stroked the boy’s head. “We’ll wait for you to come back for dinner.”
Chi Yanxing didn’t reject his parents’ goodwill, pursed his lips, and left the room.
Chi Bing sat on the leather sofa and said, “Cold and distant—wonder who he takes after.”
Uncle He and Chi Yanxing’s mother both looked at the speaker instantly.
“Why are you all staring at me?” Chi Bing’s face was serious, with an imposing aura despite no anger. “Could it be me?”
…
The rustling sound of footsteps approached from afar. Though fully equipped with tools, their owner obviously had no intention of using them.
The waves washed over the golden beach. Looking up at the distant horizon, there wasn’t a single cloud—only two shades of blue meeting.
It was a nice day.
Chi Yanxing strolled slowly, finally stopping at a fjord. He casually tossed the sand bucket by his feet and stood watching the thin, regular waves rolling in nearby.
The newly developed pheromones were unstable, and attracted by their source, they scattered broadly in the air.
The youth was tall and slender; though his face still showed some youthfulness, one could already glimpse the handsome contours of the future.
He said nothing and passed the time there, planning to pick up a few shells after the tide receded to fulfill his task.
“Wherever you go, it’s always the same—so boring.”
As if to contradict his words, the dull scene—like a dynamic wallpaper—didn’t last long.
In the distance, several fins cut through the smooth horizon line. Chi Yanxing’s gaze caught the abrupt movement and muttered, “Sharks? Didn’t they say this sea area was already cleared?”
Why would such dangerous creatures still be here? And so close to the shore.
Chi Yanxing frowned slightly and was about to mention this to his father when the sharp fins suddenly headed toward the beach.
…Are these things crazy? This is a beach—any fish coming here is courting death.
Chi Yanxing watched coldly, curious what kind of show these unexpected creatures might put on for him.
But sadly, after swimming crazily nearshore, the sharks seemed to realize something and quickly turned around to swim away.
“Really dumb,” Chi Yanxing judged bluntly.
The alpha stood at the shore watching these infamous ocean killers lazily circle the area like they were just out for a stroll, occasionally dispersing then regrouping.
Chi Yanxing watched and felt something was off.
These sharks seemed like they were being chased…
But what creature in the sea could have that kind of intelligence and power? It’s not human.
Rarely interested, Chi Yanxing took a few steps forward; the cool seawater lapped at his ankles.
After a few minutes, the sharks disappeared, and the mysterious creature chasing them never appeared.
Chi Yanxing kept his hands in his pockets, still not entirely convinced.
After some time, when he was sure the surroundings were calm, he sneered and was about to turn away—when he suddenly felt something hit his ankle. It didn’t hurt, but it stood out in contrast to the gentle waves.
He looked down slowly and saw a small piece of white coral.
Then another object was thrown—a small shell, seemingly just trying to catch his attention.
Alpha: “…”
Their private beach seemed very unwilling to let him be here.
After a few silent seconds, more small debris was tossed from the shallow sea: coral, shells, little stones, all in continuous motion.
Chi Yanxing looked at the pile of “ammunition” by his feet, then glanced at an unidentified object flying out of the sea again. He finally confirmed: all these things were being thrown at him by the sea.
…but the sea definitely wouldn’t be this considerate.
“Who’s there?” Chi Yanxing asked in a low voice.
Only bubbles responded.
“This is my father’s newly bought private beach. Unauthorized diving is prohibited.”
The bubbles grew denser.
Chi Yanxing waited a moment longer and said, “Is your oxygen running low? After chasing sharks for so long, if you don’t come up soon, you’ll drown, right?”
This time the sea surface finally showed a different reaction—a golden, chubby tail quietly peeked above the water and swayed from side to side, like a periscope of a submarine.
Chi Yanxing was dumbfounded, not knowing what kind of strange move this was.
“…No need to grab a fish tail just to say hello.”
“Gulu gulu…”
“You’re not coming over? Then I’ll come to you!” The young man was bold, his curiosity also stirring.
“Gulu gulu gulu!”
Chi Yanxing saw the intense reaction and his voice turned cold: “Since you understand me, stop pretending to be a ghost. While the patrol hasn’t come near here, I’ll turn a blind eye—maybe you can find a chance to leave.”
Splash!
A small hand shot out of the water, angrily splashing water at the speaker, but since the arm was short and thin, the splash barely reached half a meter.
Gulu gulu: “…”
Chi Yanxing: “…………”
A… child?!
His expression turned serious. This was no small matter. An adult diving without permission could be dealt with, but if it was a seven or eight-year-old child, that was a big problem.
But the urgent thing was to get the kid out of the water first.
Chi Yanxing hurried over about ten meters and grabbed the little paw that hadn’t retracted yet, dragging it to shore without looking back.
“Are you abandoned? Where are your adults? This must be reported! Wait here, I’ll call the patrol—”
“…”
Chi Yanxing felt something was wrong as he pulled. He looked back and saw the child’s hand was in his grip, but the head still seemed submerged.
He bent down to lift the kid’s head but as soon as he touched the soft hair drifting in the water, a nimble, small fish tail slapped him sharply.
Smack!
A very loud sound.
Chi Yanxing froze, and the little chubby fish underwater lifted its head.
“Human! How dare you touch me?! I’ll send the sharks to bite you!”
The alpha’s face changed colors, and he vaguely heard his worldview shatter.
He looked down carefully, but the figure suddenly surfaced, soft hair covering the entire face, features unclear—only the golden fish tail connected to the waist shone brightly. Along with the chubby little back, it reminded him of a plump goldfish in a tank.
“You… you are… a mermaid??!”
The little mermaid didn’t speak, just bared some tender sharp teeth and bit the young man’s hand with an “awoo.”
Chi Yanxing suddenly opened his eyes wide. The daylight outside was already bright. The sharp sting from the dream still lingered in his mind. He frowned, raising a hand to rub his throbbing temples.
But his hand didn’t move because someone wrapped his arm in an embrace and, sensing his movement, nuzzled his cheek softly.
A moist, slightly ticklish feeling came to his wrist. Yu Su, biting on the man’s solid knuckles, murmured drowsily, “Chi Yanxing… don’t run, now it’s my turn to bite you…”
The alpha instantly snapped awake: “…………”
“Yu Su, who do you want to bite?”
