TN: Turns out the old chapter 20 that I posted was a duplicate of 19! Oops sorry about that, here’s the correct chapter 20.

Xia Tong logged back into the game. After Lin Mingfei’s comforting words, his mood had completely calmed down. Now, he just wanted to finish the Snowy Tomb dungeon.
A teleport point near the Snowfield flashed, and two figures appeared—one a stout, solid knight and the other a tall, muscular axe-wielder. Aside from minor details like hair color and clothing, their facial features and body shapes were very much recognizable.
“Wow, this familiar map, the place where the Saber-toothed Tiger squad’s dream ended.” Zhou Yanjun stretched lazily. “Little Bo, how long has it been since we’ve been here?”
“Two years,” Bo Yu replied.
Xia Tong looked at Zhou Yanjun, then at Bo Yu, and curiously tapped his chin before asking bluntly, “Fatty, why didn’t you adjust your character’s face?”
Zhou Yanjun was about to reply, “Pro players aren’t allowed to fake their facial appearances,” but suddenly sensed something was off.
“Why don’t you ask Bo Yu??”
Xia Tong replied, “Because Timer said—” He opened his mouth, then caught Zhou Yanjun’s intense, wolf-like gaze and suddenly stopped. He swallowed the rest of the sentence, “Good-looking people don’t need to change their face.”
“Nothing!”
“Maybe he thinks you need it,” Bo Yu added, expressionless.
Xia Tong: “……”
Zhou Yanjun: “???”
Two seconds later, Zhou Yanjun poked Xia Tong’s forehead with his thick finger, shouting, “What do you mean by I need it?? Come on, you shallow thing!! This look has market value! What do you know about that?!”
Xia Tong clutched his head and ran, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Fatty, you’re the most handsome and cutest!”
“Don’t call me Fatty!” Zhou Yanjun clutched his chest in sorrow. “And to think I even invited my friend to help you out in the dungeon—this truly hurts my heart.”
With a “ding,” a new player named [Cat Ear Girl] joined their party.
Cat Ear Girl: [WTF? 4=1??]
Cat Ear Girl: [Zhou Yanjun, you tricked me again! No wonder you’re forever single!]
Xia Tong: [……]
Bo Yu: [……]
Soon, a brown-haired elf with translucent wings flew in from the teleportation point, gliding elegantly as she landed lightly in front of Xia Tong. She nodded gracefully.
Xia Tong looked up and met her gaze.
A moment later, Cat Ear Girl reached out, patted Xia Tong’s head, and gave a mischievous smile. “Hello, little shorty.”
Xia Tong: “………”
“Hahahahahahaha!”
A nearby snow-covered pine tree toppled under Zhou Yanjun’s uncontrollable laughter, rolling in the snow like a big, happy pig. Cat Ear Girl didn’t mind and tugged at the little tuft of hair on Xia Tong’s forehead, puzzled. “Why’d you make your character so short? In larger raids, you won’t even be able to see the boss.”
Xia Tong was stunned. “… I—”
“He’s an Omega; what do you expect? This is his actual height,” Zhou Yanjun finally got up, brushing the snow off himself and laughing. “One and a half meters?”
“You’re the one and a half meters!” Xia Tong stretched his neck to protest, “I’m one sixty-five!”
Zhou Yanjun: “Rounding down, that’s one and a half.”
Xia Tong: “……”
Cat Ear Girl tilted her head. “An Omega?” She seemed intrigued and leaned down to pinch Xia Tong’s cute nose. “Hey Zhou Yanjun, I’ve always wanted an Omega little brother to date. And you knew such a cute one and never introduced us!”
“Well, I’m introducing him now,” Zhou Yanjun said.
Xia Tong whimpered under her grasp, “Let go, let go—”
“Fine, fine, I’ll let go. Don’t worry; I’ll make sure to protect you with lots of healing.” Cat Ear Girl hugged Xia Tong and said enthusiastically, “Let’s just get a random DPS and start the raid. Oh, by the way, you guys want to go for the hidden boss?”
“The hidden boss?” Xia Tong asked, hearing the term for the first time.
“The main prize of the Snow Palace is Emperor Lyell’s spirit,” Cat Ear Girl explained. “It drops special-effect weapons and rare materials!”
“We might be too late for it, though. The big groups have been in there a while,” Bo Yu checked the time and said. “It’s been almost half an hour.”
“That doesn’t mean they’ll trigger the emperor ghost. We still have a chance,” Cat Ear Girl said.
“What type should we recruit? I’ll send a request,” Zhou Yanjun said.
“Just don’t get another mage who’ll compete with Xia Tong for gear. Anything else is fine,” Cat Ear Girl replied considerately.
“Works for me,” Zhou Yanjun added a random hunter, and the five of them exchanged quick greetings before heading down the Snow Palace’s icy halls together.
Lin Mingfei left the administrative center and habitually called Shi Ya.
The phone rang for a long time without an answer. Lin Mingfei looked out at the flowing lights on the street, and his right eyelid twitched.
Without a word, he pulled his car out of the garage and sped toward the Sabertooth team’s club.
As a top-tier club, Sabertooth had leased a row of luxury townhouses in the city center, with lights bright enough to turn night into day. Lin Mingfei got out of his car and coincidentally ran into Dylan, who was coming out to pick up some food.
They ended up face-to-face, and Dylan froze for a moment, trying to act like he hadn’t seen Lin Mingfei and hurried past with his head down.
“Hey,” Lin Mingfei called out, striding over quickly. “Where’s Ping Shuai?”
His deep, masculine voice carried an unmistakable authority. Dylan stopped, breaking into a nervous sweat. Cursing under his breath, he turned around with a forced smile.
“Long time no see, Zero.” He awkwardly attempted a casual greeting. “What brings you here today—”
“I don’t have time for chit-chat,” Lin Mingfei interrupted, his voice dropping even lower. “Where’s Ping Shuai?”
Dylan froze, and without thinking, blurted out, “He’s at the basketball court nearby!”
Lin Mingfei turned on his heel. “Thanks.”
His tall, commanding figure disappeared into the night, leaving Dylan holding a now-cold bag of takeout, dumbfounded for a long while.
“Shit, what’s there to be scared of? He’s long past his prime.” He clutched his chest, which was pounding with nerves, and muttered angrily to himself, “Besides, I’m not the one going to make a fool of myself.”
