Ch 13: E-Sport’s Group Pampered Omega

Chapter 13

Xia Tong had changed into clean clothes and followed Lin Mingfei out, with Zhou Yanjun and Shiya already waiting in the car. Lin Mingfei directly entered the front passenger seat, and Xia Tong sat in the back with Zhou Yanjun.

“Hey! Why is it you?!” Xia Tong’s mouth dropped open as soon as he opened the car door, pointing at Zhou Yanjun. “The shameless fat knight!”

Zhou Yanjun, chewing on half a chicken leg, slowly raised his head, locking eyes with Xia Tong’s furious gaze. He swallowed the crunchy bone with a loud “gulp,” his expression darkening. “Do you have the guts to say that again?”

Xia Tong slammed the car door, showing a row of small white teeth as he smirked.

“I’ll say it again! Shameless! Fat! Knight!”

Zhou Yanjun: “…” He ground his teeth for a while, realizing he couldn’t do much to Xia Tong, so he went back to quietly eating his chicken leg.

Lin Mingfei watched the scene in the rearview mirror, his lips curling slightly. He remembered what Zhou Yanjun had said, “That little Omega practically wants to kill someone when he hears rumors about you,” and felt a warm surge in his chest. He also found Xia Tong’s mischievous little grin very cute.

Shi Ya started the car. “Let’s go. Zero, give me the navigation.”

After finishing a pair of spicy wings, Zhou Yanjun pulled out a panini from the paper bag, rolling his eyes as he muttered, “Our team is going to do something serious, and you’re tagging along to make trouble?”

“I’m going to do serious things with Zero, got a problem?” Xia Tong retorted, holding his ground.

Zhou Yanjun burst into laughter. He pointed at Xia Tong with his greasy, large finger. “Listen, Zero is the captain of our Polaris team, my old teammate of many years. He and I are family, but you? You’re an outsider! Do you get it?”

“You!” Xia Tong was speechless, grinding his teeth in frustration.

Shi Ya sighed from the rearview mirror, watching the two argue over Lin Mingfei. He turned his head and said, “Hey, maybe you should try to mediate—”

The source of the trouble, Lin Mingfei, had already fallen asleep without a care, leaning against the car window.

Zhou Yanjun, triumphant after winning the argument, devoured a panini and pulled out a bag of chocolate cookies. He was about to open it when he noticed Xia Tong glancing over with the slightest bit of interest. The little Omega’s lips were pressed into a thin line, but his eyes kept darting towards the cookies. Zhou Yanjun narrowed his eyes. “You want some?”

“…” Caught in the act, Xia Tong turned red, feeling embarrassed. He had been too busy with his shower this morning to eat breakfast, and now he was really hungry. However, being a dignified Omega, he turned his face away and said loudly, “I’m not hungry!”

Zhou Yanjun stared at the graceful curve of Xia Tong’s neck, which moved like a white swan, and suddenly felt a mischievous urge. He grabbed a biscuit, took a bite with a “crunch,” and, with exaggerated emphasis, said, “Is this real or fake? Then I’ll just eat it myself! Freshly baked biscuits, so fragrant and crispy!”

The sweet aroma of the baked goods spread through the car. Xia Tong was so angry that his eyelashes trembled. Zhou Yanjun, seizing the moment, pushed the paper bag closer to him, trying to coax, “I’ll give you two pieces, but you have to tell me what exactly your relationship is with our captain.”

“We’re good friends!” Xia Tong said dejectedly.

This answer was clearly not what Zhou Yanjun had expected. He rolled his eyes, took the bag back, grabbed a handful of biscuits, and stuffed them into his mouth, chewing with a satisfied expression, all while muttering, “Little liar, you’ll starve to death.”

“You!” Xia Tong, feeling wronged, took a few deep breaths, frustrated that there was nothing more to say to Zhou Yanjun. He angrily pulled his hoodie’s drawstring over his head and curled up against the window to sleep.

As Zhou Yanjun continued eating, he realized he wasn’t getting any emotional feedback from Xia Tong, which made him lose interest. He glared sideways at Xia Tong’s resentful back and couldn’t resist poking him. “Hey.” He nudged Xia Tong’s shoulder. Xia Tong ignored him, clutching his stomach with both hands.

This actually made Zhou Yanjun feel guilty. Was he really so desperate for those few calories? No! He weighed over two hundred pounds!

As an Omega, a rare and vulnerable social group, there were countless laws advocating for the protection and respect of Omegas. Yet here he was, an overfed Alpha, cruelly watching a small Omega go hungry while deliberately eating snacks in front of him! It was just too much! Look how upset he made the little guy…

“Hey, I can’t eat any more. You can have the rest.” Zhou Yanjun pushed the biscuits toward him, saying firmly, “You eat it!”

Xia Tong shrugged him off, coldly rejecting, “I won’t eat your leftovers!”

“This isn’t leftovers! I only ate two pieces; I haven’t touched the rest!” Zhou Yanjun explained.

“Then I still won’t eat it.” Xia Tong huffed.

“You should eat it! This ride is going to take a long time and won’t stop until later!”

“No way!”

“Then what if you get low blood sugar? Omegas are already frail.”

“It has nothing to do with you!”

“Of course it does! You’re in our car!”

“I’m not eating!” Xia Tong covered his head and turned away.

Zhou Yanjun sighed deeply, pointing at the back of his head, feeling his anger rise to the point where he thought he might explode. “Xia Tong, I’m asking you again—are you going to eat or not? If you don’t eat, I’ll—”

“What will you do?”

At that moment, Shi Ya, who was driving, frowned upon hearing Zhou Yanjun’s words and was about to intervene when he saw him deflate like a punctured ball, lying down next to Xia Tong. “—Little ancestor, will you accept that I’m kneeling down in front of you?”

Shi Ya: “…”

Well, it seemed he had overestimated the pride of this “Alaskan pig.”

Finally, with Zhou Yanjun practically begging, Xia Tong turned slowly to face him. He glanced at Zhou Yanjun and then burst out laughing.

“You look like a lucky cat!” he said, pointing at Zhou Yanjun, laughing so hard he almost fell over.

“Stop—what nonsense are you talking about!” Zhou Yanjun’s face flushed slightly, and he snapped, “A lucky cat is nowhere near as mighty as me.”

“Well, if you look like one, then the lucky cat should feel embarrassed!” Xia Tong stuck out his tongue at him, not bothering to be polite, and grabbed the entire bag of cookies.

“I still have some VitaSoy. Do you want it?” Zhou Yanjun rummaged through his bag, showing concern.

The mood in the back of the SUV suddenly lightened, and as they passed a service area, Shi Ya checked the time, pulled over, and turned to Zhou Yanjun. “Fire, switch with me.”

Zhou Yanjun nodded and, without hesitation, swapped seats with Shi Ya. Shi Ya sat in the back, put on his headphones, and opened an app to watch cat videos.

Having eaten and drunk his fill, Xia Tong was about to watch a PVP tutorial on “King’s Tomb” on his phone when his eyes caught Shi Ya’s screen. There was a beautiful girl in a maid outfit dancing.

“Wow! What’s going on here?” Xia Tong asked curiously, “It looks great.”

“Home dance livestream,” Shi Ya replied lazily, sending a cruise ship gift to the girl on screen.

The girl instantly smiled brightly and sent a heart to the screen. “Timer, you’re so punctual! I love how enthusiastic you are!”

Shi Ya was well-known for his flirtations, and the comments poured in: “Yoooo, Timer looking sharp!” “Of course, wherever there are beauties, there’s Timer,” and “Timer the sponsor, always shows up late, but never misses.”

Xia Tong’s focus, as always, was unusual: “You can make money from live streaming?”

“Of course,” Shi Ya replied.

“What do you have to broadcast to make money?”

“There’s a lot. Shopping streams can increase sales. You can also livestream gaming, singing, dancing, anything really. It all depends on the person.” Shi Ya tapped Xia Tong’s chin teasingly. “But for a cutie like you, just eating snacks on stream could make money.”

“Really?” Xia Tong didn’t believe it.

Shi Ya laughed lightly, pretending to close the app, but Xia Tong quickly said, “Hey, aren’t you going to watch her dance?”

“Do you want to watch?” Shi Ya handed him the phone. “You watch, I’m sleepy, I’m taking a nap.”

Xia Tong was a bit confused. “Didn’t you send her a gift to watch her dance?”

“Sending the gift was just something I said in passing yesterday. It doesn’t mean I like watching her dance,” Shi Ya said nonchalantly.

Xia Tong half-understood, mumbling a confused “Ah.”

“If you leave now, won’t that girl be disappointed?”

“She’ll be happy to get the gift, why would she be disappointed?” Shi Ya said. “It’s a joy to make someone happy. I’m happy because she’s happy.”

“But I don’t think you like her,” Xia Tong said.

“Of course not,” Shi Ya said, wiggling a finger meaningfully. “Remember, giving gifts or chatting doesn’t mean you like someone. That’s the world of adults.”

“Don’t listen to his nonsense,” Lin Mingfei, who had been sitting in the front passenger seat, suddenly interrupted his words, his tone heavy. “He’s just making excuses to flirt.”

“But you have to admit, being in a relationship with me is far more exciting than being with you,” Shi Ya raised his foot and kicked the back of the seat, laughing lazily. He suddenly wrapped his arm around Xia Tong’s neck, pointing to Lin Mingfei and then to himself. “Long-lasting boredom or short-term excitement, Xia Tong, which would you choose?”
